I'm not very interesting, but I have a lot of opinions. And a lot of love for Ian Kinsler (and really the Texas Rangers/ baseball in general)

So I’m super happy that the Rangers won the home opener. Especially against the Angels. And I tried very hard to stick up for Josh Hamilton, but gave up after he dissed our fans- there’s only so much I can do. So I kind of loved the newspapers fans were holding up and while part of me feels bad that he was booed, another part of me is happy that Ranger fans are so passionate and awesome and loyal. I really think Hamilton wouldn’t have been booed if he hadn’t said what he did about Ranger fans- that cut deep considering so many people love/loved him so much when he was here (myself included). So it’s very bittersweet.

BUT my favorite player (Kinsbby) was responsible for the go ahead (and winning) run and beltre hit a homer and i love him and I love our new guys and I love baseball and i love the Rangers and I love the ballpark in Arlington and I love Ranger fans and I just feel so happy today.

Lol at Kins baby playing third base.

I don’t think he actually had to field a ball at that position, though. Kind of a shame. I love this man.

So today I was listening to Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away in the car and after the first line of “Dry lightening cracks across the sky..” my brain automatically changed the next line to “Mike Napoli runs and hides…” Who knew I could be so clever without actually putting any thought whatsoever into it.

On a second note, Ian Kinsler is the most adorable/beautiful man I have ever laid eyes on.

While waiting for the game to resume, I watched the clip of Beltre singling in Elvis, and when Elvis got to the dugout, he lifted his arms up as if to say “Hey man, Ian-bro, why are you not waiting here to greet me so we can high five and possibly hug and be bestfriendsforever?!” And then Ian runs over as fast as he can to high five Elvis. And then they laughed together. And it was beautiful.

So I realize this is a late post…

But I was too busy celebrating in real life.

My reaction when Josh Hamilton hit his first HR: “Yay! I’m not at all surprised.”

When Josh hit his second: “Yay! A two homer night!”

When Josh hit his third: “Wow! You don’t see three homer games very often. There’s no way he can hit a fourth.”

When Josh hit his fourth: “…*dies*…”

And then I realized that if Josh’s double had just been a little higher and gone a few more feet, he would have had a five homer game- and hit as many home runs in one game as Ian Kinsler has hit all season.

And then I realized that Josh has hit 4 times as many HRs in one game as Albert Pujols has hit all season.

And then I cheered and danced and was all around joyful.

Back-to-Back Fangirling: Ian Kinsler hits a solo home run; Michael Young celebrates. Elvis Andrus follows up with a home run; Ian Kinsler celebrates. 4/11/12

This might be my favorite thing ever.

Youngsler is 3-4 tonight!

Last night, the Ian-Elvis bromance, and today- the Ian-Michael bromance.

So cute.
